# WAMI Records

> Independent record label and editorial platform founded in 2018 between Santa Fe (Argentina) and Castellón (Spain), dedicated to Dub, Roots Reggae, Steppers and Sound System culture. Content is published in Spanish (/es) and English (/en).

WAMI Records (also written "Wami Records / Micronomade Dub") was founded by producers Micronomade (Cristian Ariel Cargnello, Argentina) and Wallar Beats (Spain). The label releases digital dub, roots reggae and steppers music on Bandcamp (122+ releases) and runs an editorial platform: first-person interviews with the people who make Sound System culture happen, and a glossary of its terminology. The goal of the interview series is to document how this culture is actually lived — the local scene, the craft, the values — country by country, told by its own protagonists: producers, selectors, singers/MCs, soundmen, event promoters, cabinet builders, hardware/electronics builders, load-in crews (boxman), vinyl collectors, label owners, photographers/videographers, journalists, and Rastafari practitioners.
